Richard Hammond has announced he has split from his wife of 23 years Mindy but said they are ‘proud’ of the family they have created. The Grand Tour star, 55, and journalist Mindy, 59, married in 2002 and share two daughters Isabelle, 24, and Willow, 21.

Richard revealed they had parted ways in a statement on X and explained they spent Christmas together as a family but would be ‘structured differently’ in the New Year. He said the former couple had enjoyed an ‘amazing’ relationship and would ‘always be in each other’s lives.’.

The former Top Gear presenter did not cite a reason for the break-up and added they would ‘not be commenting further.’. On X, he wrote: ‘A little update from us; this Christmas we were together as a family and this year we will still be a family but just structured a bit differently.
