The furious swarm tore through the school grounds stinging more than 32 students and several teachers, spreading panic among those gathered for the celebration.
The school was reportedly holding an annual event at the time of the attack, with teachers and pupils in the grounds to attend the function when the bees attacked.
The insects had established a two-foot-long colony in a tree on the school grounds but had remained peaceful until the day of the school event.
