Michael Bolton has announced that he is cancelling his London show as he continues to ‘heal from surgery’. ‘You all know how much I was looking forward to this show but I am continuing to heal from surgery,’ said Bolton, 71, in a message to fans on social media. ‘Thank you for all your love and positive energy over this past year. I am so grateful to have the most supportive fans in the world.’.

The singer was expected to perform in London in July 2025, with Bonnie Tyler as a special guest joining him at the O2 Arena. Bolton has cancelled a string of concerts since his diagnosis and impressed upon fans that his recovery is of utmost importance. The shock cancellation comes months after Bolton shared cosy images of Christmas with his family with a positive message that read: ‘Here’s to fresh starts and beautiful moments in 2025!’.

The When A Man Loves A Woman singer underwent ‘immediate’ brain surgery in 2023 after a tumour was found. Announcing his brain cancer diagnosis in January 2024, he said:  ‘I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year!. ‘I also want to share that 2023 ended up presenting me with some very unexpected challenges. ‘Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumour, which required immediate surgery,’ the artist said.

‘Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success.’. He revealed that he would be taking time to recover at home and taking time away from his touring schedule. ‘I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.’. ‘It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.

‘I am beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me through the years. ‘Know that I’m keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I’ll give you more updates as soon as I can.’. The singer first came to fame in the 1980s as the frontman of the band Blackjack and for his solo work. The singer has sold more than 75 million records, released eight top-10 albums and two number-one singles on the Billboard charts and won six American Music Awards and two Grammy Awards.
