The soaps have a big year ahead, with Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street all airing huge twists and plots. They all start the new year with a bang too, with dramatic scenes lined up for the first week of January. But beyond January there's some massive moments planned as all of the soaps feature huge storylines.
It's EastEnders' 40th anniversary in February, and from spoilers and filming pictures it's clearly going to be explosive. Boss Chris Clenshaw and some of the cast have teased the big week, while two storylines have also been confirmed. Over on Corrie, there's a horror stabbing storyline and a massive stunt with serious consequences. There's a downfall, a diagnosis, some romance, a baby twist and plenty more too - as teased by boss Kate Brooks.
Meanwhile over on Emmerdale, there's exits, a death, bombshells to be revealed and a special episode featuring much of the cast ahead. There's also a plot that's set to run for at least 10 months, as a mystery surrounding a teenager's disappearance leads to heartbreak. Here are the biggest plots unfolding in 2025...
Emmerdale has yet to release a full plan for 2025 like the other soaps, but there's some big plots ahead. Ruby Miligan has yet to expose her father Anthony Fox for sexually abusing her as a teenager, but the walls could be closing in on him as he continues to cause havoc.
Amid some fans predicting a whodunnit, what we do know is that he gets on the wrong side of Cain Dingle after learning of his fling with Ruby. But Cain is onto him, and Chas Dingle could be too as Ruby finds herself confiding in her sister-in-law over New Year.
