Stacey Solomon had a rocky start to her family holiday, as she and husband Joe Swash accidentally missed their train connection that would take them from Paris to Switzerland for a family ski trip. The couple, with all five children in tow, ended up having an impromptu stay in Paris that saw Stacey make use of her winter wardrobe for the chilly temperatures.
She wrapped up warm in an oversized puffer coat as the family took photos in front of the Eiffel Tower, and we’ve already got our eye on it as a must-have coat for the current freezing temperatures. Although she didn’t tag her exact coat, we found this identical Collusion Unisex Maxi Puffer Jacket With Hood in Stone for under £60 at ASOS.

The Collusion Maxi Puffer Jacket is priced at £59.99, and is the perfect oversized quilt-like design that’ll keep you warm and cosy no matter how cold it gets. Whether you’re planning a winter holiday or ski trip, like Stacey, or just need something to keep the chill at bay here in the UK, it’s definitely one of our wardrobe essentials.
It has a fixed hood that helps keep your head warm and your hair protected from showers and winds, whilst the high collar acts as a buffer to keep the cold out. The longline cut comes to mid shin, making sure you stay warm from head to toe, with press stud fastenings that are easy to use even with gloves, and handy side pockets.
Designed to be a unisex fit, the Collusion Maxi Puffer Jacket is available in sizes ranging from 2XS to 3XL, and you can choose from stone, black and chocolate brown colourways. Although not pegged as waterproof, we suspect it’ll probably do the job to keep you dry during a light shower.
However if you want something that’ll definitely keep you dry, the Hooded Longline Puffer Coat from SuperDry is £149.00 and has been coated with durable water repellency that causes water to run right off it. It’s also got bungee cords in the hood and hem to block out the cold, and the quilting has been done with bonding, rather than stitching, to reduce cold spots.
The side pockets have storm-sealed zips on them to keep your belongings dry and safe, and there’s an internal pocket that fastens with a hook and loop. The Hooded Longline Puffer Coat fastens with hidden popper and zip fastenings, making it extra warm and banishing any drafts.
For waterproofing on a budget, the White Shower Resistant Padded Hooded Coat from Next is £82 and has been designed to stand up to the unpredictable British weather. It comes in a cream colour similar to Stacey’s, or you can choose from khaki, black and navy.
