Starbucks is kicking off the new year by adding three new items to its UK menu - and bringing another popular one back. The high street coffee chain has decided to give the UK market a go with one of its popular US flavours with an added "new twist". The new year sees Starbucks introduce a brand-new range of pistachio-flavoured drinks for the first time ever in the UK with its Pistachio Velvet Latte and Iced Pistachio Latte.

The two new beverages feature white chocolate pistachio-flavour sauce combined with Starbuck's signature espresso and oat drink, topped with pistachio-flavoured cream cold foam. Prices for the drink start from £4.65. The iced alternative is very similar and consists of a white chocolate pistachio-flavoured sauce mixed with espresso and oat drink and served over ice. It is then topped with pistachio-flavoured cream cold foam. Prices for the iced drink start from £4.70.

Customers can also pair their beverage with Starbucks' "perfectly crafted" new Pistachio & White Chocolate Loaf Cake for just £2.75. This sweet treat consists of a pistachio loaf cake topped with pistachio and white chocolate frosting, decorated with nibbed pistachios and freeze-dried raspberries.

For those after something plant-based this Veganuary, Starbucks has also brought back its popular vegan Chocolate & Caramel Muffin. Setting you back just £2.65, the chocolate muffin has a caramel centre, sprinkled with cocoa and sugar nibs. Fans of the coffee chain get their hands on the new menu items in stores and on the Starbucks app from today. Starbucks has not confirmed whether the new menu additions will be a permanent feature as of writing, although it does warn that customers can get the newbies "while stocks last.".
