If you know us, you know our love for M&S knows no bounds. From the impressive meal deals, the frozen bone broth craze, to the designer-inspired bags, dresses, and everything in between. M&S has certainly climbed up in our estimations over the years, and I for one count it as one of my top high street retailers to shop underwear, thermals, as well as trend-led pieces, such as the leather bomber jacket.

My latest obsession is M&S’ Animal Print Wide Leg Jeans, which look very similar to the sell-out Ganni Leopard Printed Izey Jeans we have seen everyone wear over the last few months – and continue to style. The Animal Print Wide Leg Jeans are available in a faded leopard print version, as well as a muted brown-tone zebra print. While I am lusting after both versions, if I had to pick one to add to my wardrobe, which is bursting at the seams, it would be the spot print.

Made from 100% cotton, these jeans promise an ultra soft and comfortable fit. The high waistline, combined with a wide leg style, is a flattering cut for all shapes and sizes. It boasts five pockets, as well as a button and zip front fastening. Available in two prints, both come in petite, regular and tall, ranging from UK dress sizes 6 to 22.

The Animal Print Wide Leg Jeans have been crafted from 100% cotton, which, true to M&S, means these jeans are ultra-soft, comfortable, and durable. The jeans boast a high waistline, which I prefer to a low rise jean as it cinches me in in all the right places, provides support, coverage, and extra warmth – who likes a breezy lower back? Not me.

These jeans also boast a wide leg, which is another huge trend ticked in one style. A wide leg is ultra flattering for all body shapes as the jeans skim down the length of the legs without clinging onto any areas, which gives the illusion of super long and lean limbs.

Wide leg trousers are a firm favourite in my wardrobe as they are not only flattering, as well as stylish, but they are ultra comfortable and easy to style. These jeans feature five pockets, as well as a button and zip front fastening for extra security. Again, another preferred detail of ours, as there is nothing worse than having to unfasten five buttons when you are desperate for the toilet.

These jeans come in two animal prints, including a soft leopard print version in brown tones, as well as a muted zebra print. Both creations are available in petite, regular and long, and in UK dress sizes 6 to 22. Sizes are selling out fast, which is unsurprising considering Ganni’s Leopard Printed Izey Jeans retail for £235 – saving us almost £200.

Crafted from 99% cotton, and 1% elastane for a slight bit of stretch. These jeans boast a mid-high waist, and a straight fit leg for a relaxed silhouette. Also features five pockets, as well as a button and zip front fastening. The leopard print is a blend of black, brown and cream tones, which complements any colour palette. Available in UK sizes measuring 24 to 42 waist.

The main difference between the M&S and Ganni original is the opacity of the print. M&S’ animal print is slightly muted, whereas Ganni’s leopard pattern offers a bold print. For those who prefer subtlety, we recommend M&S’ jeans. The other difference (aside from the price) is Ganni’s jeans are not available in petite or tall styles like M&S, they simply come in one length and the sizes are measured in the waist.

You can style both M&S and Ganni’s jeans the same way. Pair the printed jeans with a plain white t-shirt, and trainers, layer a knitted jumper over for extra warmth.  Alternatively, swap the jumper for a blazer, and the flat shoes for heeled boots.

Shoppers have hailed M&S’ jeans ‘the best jeans ever’, and considering sizes are selling out fast, the proof is in the pudding. One happy shopper gushed: ‘The BEST jeans! They are my new faves and it’s the first time I’ve ever bought wide leg. I usually go for a mom or barrel style but these have converted me. I’d love it if all the other M&S wide leg jeans were the same width and fabric composition. I’m a UK 12/14 with a mummy tummy and these are super flattering. If you’re in-between sizes I recommend sizing up.’.

Another customer review read: ‘Saw these recommended and have never been brave enough. But these are basically neutral, and I’ve seen much more expensive pairs elsewhere. Super comfy, decent denim, which is perfect for colder temperatures.’. A separate shopper added: ‘I bought these online after seeing someone wearing them (I complimented them and they said where they were from) and some reviews said the sizing wasn’t always accurate so I was a bit skeptical, but I bought my usual size and they are a perfect fit! They’re really soft and stretchy.’.
