Tasha Ghouri’s mum has seemingly waded into the debate about her daughter’s breakup from Andrew Le Page. Tasha, 26, and Andrew, 29, met on Love Island in 2022, and stayed together for over two years before their shock breakup was announced earlier this month following her stint on Strictly Come Dancing. With fans confused about what caused the split, Tasha’s mum, Nicky Young, dropped some hints on social media.
One comment she liked suggested the couple just naturally drifted apart, reading: “Sometimes relationships just don't work out. We're not in their lives so we don't know the reasons. Sometimes people can just outgrow each other or not be as driven or want different out of life and much more. They can try to keep it together but then it can be much worse.".
Prior to their sudden split, Tasha and Andrew seemed deeply invested in their relationship. The former couple bought a puppy, Luna, together, had matching rose tattoos, and were surrounded by engagement rumours. At the start of 2024, Tasha and Andrew even bought a house together and showed off their renovation progress on an Instagram account just for their shared home.
Prior to the breakup, Tasha was asked whether she thought the ‘Strictly curse’ could impact her relationship with Andrew, but the star firmly batted away any concerns. In an interview with The Sun, she enthused: "Andrew, to me, is the hottest man on this whole planet. I look at him and I'm like: 'Yeah, that's my man'. Me and Andrew trust each other 100 per cent.".
