Suits LA is SLAMMED by unimpressed viewers as 'worse than awful'

Suits LA has been widely slammed following its premiere on Sunday night, with viewers branding the plot a 'confusing disaster' and the cast a 'cheap rip-off' of the original characters. The new NBC legal drama, which stars Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt and Bryan Greenberg, is the second spin-off from showrunner Aaron Korsh.

The show follows former New York federal prosecutor Ted Black (Stephen Amell), who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. 'His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career,' the synopsis reads.

'Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can't help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while we slowly unravel the events that years.'. Viewers didn't hold back their disappointment following the first episode, with many stating they felt 'lost' after characters weren't properly introduced.

Echoing a similar sentiment, a fifth said: 'I feel so lost watching this premiere. I want to love this show, but there should've been a better backstory with the characters on the first episode.'. Viewers didn't hold back their disappointment following the first episode. The original legal drama Suits premiered in 2011 and ran for nine seasons. A third added: 'This is so bad. Every interaction is horrible attempt at witty banter. 'Legit feels like a TikTok parody of original Suits. Zero character development. Zero idea what is going on. Feel like I started midseason. Who are these people?'.

Torres reprised her role in the 10-part spin-off Pearson, which launched in 2019. It was canceled after one season.
