The Masked Singer fans were left making the same joke as Bush again performed on Saturday evening (February 8) as the competition reached the semi-finals. Judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Maya Jama were joined by movie royalty Richard E Grant as they tried to work out which famous faces are behind the costumes. But when Bush appeared on-screen, fans immediately rushed to social media to predict Natalie Cassidy is the person behind the mask, before any clues about their identity were revealed.

Natalie has played Sonia Jackson in EastEnders since 1993, but is about to bow out of Walford after recently announcing her departure the BBC soap. Taking to the stage for the semi-finals, Bush performed to Abba hit Thank You for the Music, and teased their identity. The performance caused an outpouring of tweets from viewers who were 'happy to see Sonia from EastEnders on screen'. Taking to X, one viewer stated: "Here’s Sonia #MaskedSingerUK." While a second echoed: "It’s time Natalie Cassidy - Sonia from EastEnders as Bush #maskedsingeruk." (sic).

A third chimed in: "If Bush isn’t Sonia from EastEnders I’ll be rioting #MaskedSingerUK." (sic). "Hello Sonia from EastEnders nice to see you #MaskedSingerUKMe", stated one viewer. (sic). While another joked: "My mum: Bush is Natalie Cassidy. My dad 2 minutes later: It sounds like Sonia from EastEnders. Me: Same person #MaskedSingerUK." (sic). "How the judges are not guessing Natalie Cassidy is beyond me, all Bush needs is a Trumpet in their hand and it is screaming Sonia Fowler #maskedsingeruk," suggested another. (sic).

During the semi-final, two contestants will be eliminated in a double unmasking before the grand final next week. To see who is crowned winner of The Masked Singer, viewers will need to tune into the final on Saturday, February 15 at 7pm. The episode of the ITV1 show will finish at 8.30pm.
