A well-loved adventure park has declared it will 'cease operations' at one of its North Wales locations. Zip World's owners have announced that its Conwy site will close, via a Facebook post on January 21, after giving the matter "careful consideration", according to Wales Online. The company had only launched the Conwy site, previously known as Adventure Parc Snowdonia, last March. It offered five adventures, including climbing walls, ninja assault courses, soft play and a high wire course.
This was their fourth location in North Wales, supplementing their adventure sites in Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Penrhyn Quarry at Bethesda. In a statement, the company said: "After much careful consideration, we have made the decision to cease operations at Zip World Conwy.
"This was not a choice we took lightly, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our guests and supporters who have made the site such a special indoor adventure destination throughout 2024. If you have an existing booking at Zip World Conwy, our team will be in touch with options this week.
"We look forward to welcoming you to our other nearby Zip World locations and continuing to provide unique and exciting experiences for years to come.". Fans of the park expressed their disappointment at the news. "So sad," wrote one user on Facebook. "We've had three lovely family holidays at this site, staying in the hotel and enjoying the on site activities. Such a lovely bright and modern facility and great base in a beautiful part of the world.
