What is winter for, if not putting on your stretchiest pyjamas and sprawling on the sofa with a cup of tea and the remote, catching up on some excellent TV shows?. The period between Christmas and New Year is a particularly good time for this – unless you work in retail and are going to spend that week battling to tidy up the sale rails, in which case you more than anyone deserve some time with your feet up in front of the television each evening.
