Viewers of This Morning were left annoyed during the latest episode, blaming the ITV show for "ruining" BBC's The Traitors. The beloved daytime TV staple returned on Friday (January 10) with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary steering the ship. Alongside dissecting the most recent political and entertainment news, later in the programme Alison and Dermot welcomed contestants Kas and Tyler from The Traitors.
The new season of the nail-biting psychological contest has had audiences glued to their screens as participants try to identify those trying to undermine the game in hopes of bagging the grand cash prize. Despite the interview going off without a hitch, with Tyler and Kas expressing their shock at being ousted from the show by their wary co-stars, viewers felt that This Morning kept dropping spoilers as they chatted with another pair of eliminated contestants.
Venting their frustrations on social media platform X, one disgruntled viewer posted: "#thismorning and @itv do like to ruin programmes for people by getting evictees on their shows next day before people have has a chance to watch on catch up next day. There was a time when @itv would never mention @bbc shows now its all they do.".
The disgruntled fan also pointed out: "I know, obviously you can't wait ages for everyone to catch up but some people work, have to go out, are busy and can't watch in real time and catch up next day. Itv and BBC never used to mention other programmes, now we have Strictly professionals etc doing segments on it.".
