Tim Sherwood has revealed his Premier League top-four prediction as Liverpool battle Arsenal for the title and a host of teams eye Champions League spots. Liverpool are in the driving seat in the title race, moving six points clear of nearest rival Arsenal with 17 games to play.

Many suspected Liverpool would take a while to gel under new boss Arne Slot following the emotional departure of Jurgen Klopp, but the Reds have only lost once in the league to emerge as the clear favourites for the title. Few expected Manchester City to drop off as they have but Arsenal appeared best-placed to take advantage of any City demise, having finished second for two years in a row.

Mikel Arteta’s side are blowing hot and cold, however, drawing eight of their 22 games to leave themselves with work to do as they attempt to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004. For a while Nottingham Forest, who battled relegation last season, were above Arsenal having amassed a hugely impressive 44 points from their 22 games.
Champions League football does not look beyond Forest, and the same can be said for Chelsea who have enjoyed a largely promising season under Enzo Maresca to emerge as top-four contenders. Man City, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Aston Villa are all one win away from the Champions League spots with just less than half the season remaining.
