Tina Malone has opened up about her daughter's struggle after the loss of her husband. Paul Chase passed away in March 2024 at the age of 42, with the most recent Christmas marking the family's first festive season without him. Tina has now revealed that her 11-year-old daughter Flame struggled over the festive period.
When one follower shared the loss of their child on social media, Tina responded to share how Flame was struggling with Christmas and her recent birthday celebrations, admitting she "just wants her daddy". Admitting things were difficult for them, she replied: "I'm so sorry for your loss, my flame was 11 on the 15th Dec. I have many presents she hasn’t opened yet as she just wants her daddy! It’s 42 weeks I cry every single day xxx.".
Tina had previously vowed to remember Paul at Christmas and make him involved in the day. She told Closer: "We will raise a glass for him at Christmas lunch and talk about him around the table. We’ll play his favourite music and share our favourite stories. The loss and the sorrow of losing Paul is insurmountable, I will never, ever get over it.
"But I have to be strong and resilient for Flame. All the firsts are difficult. Christmas will be hard, but I will make it magical and special for her. On Christmas Eve we’d always wear matching pyjamas, and this year me, my mum and Flame will do the same. Flame has asked me to buy Paul a pair too, which we will keep with us.".
