Wednesday night's Love Island saw the Islanders receive video calls from home, with Elma getting in contact with TOWIE co-star, Amber Turner. It's been a rocky ride for Elma in the All Stars villa. At first, she was coupled up with Ronnie Vint, but it wasn't long before the relationship came crashing down with the arrival of his ex, Harriett Blackmore. Elma wasn't down for long though as TOWIE star Sammy Root came in as a bombshell, and due to their previous connection on the outside, it seems he only had eyes for Elma.
With only days to go until the final, and having not spoken to her friends and family for over a month, Elma was treated to a video call from bestie Amber, but fans weren't too happy with what they'd heard. During the call, Amber was gushing over Sammy and Elma's relationship, saying he was "the perfect person" for Elma. She also expressed her doubts about Ekin-Su and Curtis' relationship, saying it "doesn't come across as super genuine.".
Previously, Elma had been voted as favourite girl by the public alongside Luca Bish, who was voted favourite boy. Since then, there's been a whole load of drama in the villa after her former 'bestie' Ekin-Su kissed Sammy in the heartrate challenge. Although the two were adamant the drama had been put aside, they continued to argue on Wednesday's episode - and it all came back to the kiss - and the public are divided on who's in the right.
Signing off, Amber told Elma: "Everyone on the outside has been rooting for you, you got voted favourite girl, what the hell!" However, some fans are questioning the accuracy in Amber's statement after the recent drama. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Amber just LIED to Elma on national television #LoveIslandAllStars #LoveIsland #AllStars, while another said: "Lmaoo Amber lied to her mate Elma and set her up to fail because now she’s going to continue being wrong and strong. #LoveIsland".
A third said: "Amber is a terrible friend for not telling Elma the truth. How are you going to let your BESTFRIEND continue her behaviour when you KNOW what the public think of it. #LoveIsland, while a fourth wrote: "AMBER LYINGGGG EVERYBODY IS NOT HAPPY #LoveIslandAllStars #loveisland," while another said: "Amber is either not a real friend or she doesn't have social media #LoveIslandAllStar #LoveIsland.".
However, other fans are firmly on Elma's side, stating Ekin shouldn't have kissed Sammy in the first place. "Why’s no one talking about Ekin saying if you were a ‘real friend’ as if she didn’t kiss Elma’s man??" questioned one, while another said: "Why is nobody taking into consideration that maybe Sammy didn’t want to be kissed by Ekin? if roles were reversed the world would be going mad right now.
Elma joined ITVBe show The Only Way Is Essex in 2022 as a regular cast member, while Amber joined the show in 2017. Throughout the show, fans witnessed her on and off again relationship with Dancing On Ice star Dan Edgar, which came to an end in 2023. Like this story?
