Brits are bracing for a blanket of snow and potential chaos as the Met Office issues a three-day weather warning starting Saturday. Weather experts have slapped a yellow alert on 109 areas across England, Scotland, and Wales for January 4, kicking off at midday. The frosty conditions are expected to linger until 9am on Monday, January 6, totalling a chilly 45 hours, the Express reported.

Power cuts and loss of mobile phone signal are on the cards, with some communities, particularly those in rural spots, at risk of being completely isolated. The Met Office cautioned: "Heavy snow may cause some disruption over the weekend. "There is a small chance power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected. There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off. There is a chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.

"Outbreaks of rain spreading northeastwards later on Saturday and overnight into Sunday will likely be preceded by a spell of snow on its northern flank.". The forecast also alerted households in the affected zones to get ready for potential power cuts and travel snags. The Met Office has warned the weather situation could 'change quickly' and those in the warning zone should keep an eye on the forecast as the weekend approaches.
