THE family of a woman who was killed after being hit by a car have paid an emotional tribute to her. Lin Donnelly, 72, died in a road traffic collision on the border of Bootle and Kirkdale, Liverpool, on Thursday night. Emergency services were called to Brewster Street at 7.45pm following a collision involving a blue Ford Focus and a pedestrian on Brewster Street.

Lin was taken to hospital where she sadly died a short time later. Her family have now issued the following statement: "Words can't describe the pain in our hearts at the unbearable loss of you. "Our life will never be the same without you.". A 46-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He has been interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
