As someone who likes to keep things as easy as possible when getting dressed in the morning, I always have a selection of dresses in my wardrobe on standby. Running late for work? Not feeling inspired to put an outfit together? Haven't ironed your favourite shirt? Don't panic - just reach for a dress, chuck on some boots and you instantly have an outfit that looks put together despite requiring zero brain power.
While it sounds simple, putting together a wardrobe of dresses (that can be effortlessly thrown on each morning) does take a little pre-planning. After all, not all dresses are created equal. But, as a big fan of scouring my favourite stores for the perfect pieces, I think that's the fun part!.
With 2025 almost upon us, it's the perfect time to add some new dresses to your wardrobe. And, if you're in need of some inspiration, the designer runway shows are a great place to start. From boho vibes at Isabel Marant to The Row's minimalist aesthetic, the SS25 runways are awash with dress trends to suit just about every taste.
While many of 2024's biggest trends (think quiet luxury, mob wife and Y2K) will likely still be going strong well into 2025, there are a few emerging trends that we're also keen to try for the season ahead. We've compiled them below to make it even easier for you to shop.
