In fact, we’re always interested to discover the products that have soared in popularity or completely tanked over the past year, and the team over at LTK (a platform through which people can shop influencers’ outfits) has come up with the goods.
There are five trending products that saw huge success in 2024 – but will they still be a big hit next year, or replaced by something else? We asked You’s Fashion Director Sophie Dearden-Howell to share her thoughts on the ‘It’ buys of this year.
H&M Chunky Chelsea boots. . £37.99, H&M. It’s probably unsurprising that a pair of classic black boots made the list, especially given that this H&M pair come in at under £40. ‘A Chelsea boot has always been a staple and I think that will live on in 2025’ says Dearden-Howell. She does, however, believe that ‘in the era of quiet luxury’ where less is more, we’ll move away from chunkier styles like this to something 'more sleek and classic’. You may well have them in your wardrobe already.
Abercrombie & Fitch Sloane Tailored Wide Leg Trousers. £65, Abercrombie.com. When it comes to trousers, we’ve moved away from cigarette and skinny shapes in recent years, with wide-leg styles truly dominating the catwalks and high street alike. Good news if you’ve stocked up, because Dearden-Howell says this is a look that will just keep on running into 2025. ‘These trousers are an absolute wardrobe staple’ she confirms.
