Though his award is a major win for the star, it comes weeks after Adam and Gossip Girl legend Leighton, 38, tragically lost their home in the LA wildfires.
Adam then fought back tears as he paid an emotional tribute to his wife of 11 years Leighton, who he shares nine-year-old daughter Arlo with and a three-year-old son, whose name has never been publicly revealed.

Starting by thanking the Critics Choice Awards, he praised his co-star Kristin Bell for 'believing in him', as well as the rest of the cast and crew, as he revealed the second series of Nobody Wants This will kick off 'in a few weeks'.
