Amanda Holden admits husband 'winds her up' and has to tell him to 'leave room' Amanda Holden has given an eye-opening insight into her marriage to husband Chris Hughes, explaining why they have lasted.
Amanda, 53, has been married to Chris, 52, since 2008, but the pair have been dating since the early-2000s, just after Amanda’s divorce to comedian Les Dennis.
One example of this was when Amanda accidentally put an expensive piece of clothing in the washing machine that caused her husband to “hit the roof”.
On the piece of clothing Chris was concerned about in particular, Amanda said it wasn’t something posh, but a Muppets themed jumper.
She said: “Anyway hung up, in our room where the washing machine is, is a hoodie and on the back is a huge picture of Animal from The Muppets playing the drums, and that is the top he was worried I had ruined.”.
