Amy Dowden will take part in Strictly Come Dancing's live tour after recovering from an injury. The 34-year-old from Caerphilly in South Wales was initially partnered with JLS singer JB Gill on this year's series. But the professional dancer was forced to withdraw from the competition after week six due to a foot injury.

Lauren Oakley partnered Gill for the rest of the series and they reached Saturday's final. They were one of four couples who reached the final show, won by comedian Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell. Gill will perform with both dance partners throughout the 30-show tour.

This year's series was the first time in two years that Dowden had a celebrity partner after she underwent treatment for breast cancer. In February, Dowden confirmed her latest health check had found "no evidence" of the disease. After she left the competition in November, Dowden said the injury that caused her to pull out of the competition had "nothing to do with any previous health scares".

The tour will see seven of this year's couples performing some of their most memorable routines. All four of the competition's judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke - will take part, along with tour presenter Janette Manrara.

Manrara said it will be "a joy to welcome back the lovely Amy Dowden" as an "extra special treat" for fans. Read more from Sky News:Rapper in tears as he's cleared of raping two womenOldest Miss France ever takes beauty queen crown. Follow our channel and never miss an update.
