Ange Postecoglou reveals 'vile, detestable' abuse from Tamworth fans during FA Cup clash

Ange Postecoglou has said he was subjected to "vile and detestable" abuse from Tamworth fans during Sunday's FA Cup tie. Tottenham needed extra-time to defeat the non-League side at the Lamb during an encounter where Postecoglou claims he also had items thrown at him.
The Spurs boss accepted it was only an "unacceptable" minority who behaved in a poor manner but, speaking before the visit to Arsenal on Wednesday night, he said:. "90% of the crowd were very good and enjoyed the banter. There was 10% who were pretty unacceptable," Postecoglou said. "The stuff I heard was pretty vile and detestable and getting things thrown at me. Not a great experience but we're expected to be the bigger person. I would have loved to have turned around and not be the bigger person in that moment, but you deal with it and go on.".
Brazilian striker Richarlison is set to be on the bench against Mikel Arteta ’s side, who also have their own share of injury issues, after recovering from his latest hamstring injury. And while Timo Werner is set to miss out after injuring his hamstring against Tamworth, Postecoglou hopes there is "some light at the end of the end of the tunnel" with Richarlison returning.
"It’s been an unfortunate season for him," Postecoglou said. "He fights and scraps for everything but he has quality as well. Having him available makes a big difference for us in terms of the way we play. "We’re taking our time with him for sure. He’s been harassing me for 10 days to be invited but we’re trying to In training he looks ready to go.
