Announcing the iPhone 16e in a statement on Wednesday, Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, said: “iPhone 16e packs in the features our users love about the iPhone 16 lineup, including breakthrough battery life, fast performance powered by the latest-generation A18 chip, an innovative 2-in-1 camera system and Apple Intelligence.
On Wednesday, the company’s CEO Tim Cook gave the world the first glimpse at the iPhone 16e, touted as the ‘powerful new member of the iPhone 16 family’.
Vodafone has said its Vodafone Xchange scheme will be available with the iPhone 16e, which lets customers exchange their phone for a new one every year on a 24-month Phone Plan.
In terms of specifications, the iPhone 16e has a 6.1” display and is powered by the brand’s latest-generation A18 chip, which allows the device to run up to 80% faster than the iPhone 11.
Networks including EE, Vodafone and Three Mobile have confirmed they will stock the new iPhone, with pre-orders also opening on February 21.
