Arsenal to net transfer windfall as Mika Biereth agrees Monaco move Arsenal are set to bank a seven-figure sum by Mika Biereth joining Monaco from Sturm Graz.
Biereth originally joined Sturm Graz on loan from Arsenal this time last year after spells with RKC Waalwijk and Motherwell and he impressed so much that they signed him permanently in the summer.
The Gunners sold Danish forward Biereth to Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer for £4million and inserted a sell-on clause into the deal.
Arsenal also made £2m following former academy graduate Mark McGuinness’ move from Cardiff to Championship rivals Luton last August.
Standard Sport understands that sell-on clause was significant and Arsenal are now set to benefit as Biereth closes in on a move to Monaco.
