Arsenal could be about to spend big over the final few days of the January transfer window. The Gunners have a striker on their shortlist, with a number of forwards on their potential shopping list. Aston Villa hitman Ollie Watkins is chief among them - the North London side having already had a bid rejected. There are other options on their list though, including Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel. But Arsenal could face serious competition for his signature.

Elsewhere, a few stars could be set to leave the Emirates Stadium over the coming days. Take a look at all of the latest transfer news and rumours:. Arsenal have been told to get a deal for Ollie Watkins over the line by bidding £100m. Mikel Arteta’s side have already had one offer turned down for the England star. Speaking on beIN Sports, Andy Gray said: “I would be amazed if they [Aston Villa] sold him [Watkins] for any money in this window, I cannot see them letting him go. He’s a better finisher than Kai Havertz, he would score a lot more goals because he knows how to play in that position better than Havertz.

“In that team, Arsenal create so much so he would get goals. Arsenal are panicking with a few days to go, throw £100m on the table and see if that tempts them.”. While Arsenal are desperately trying to add a striker, they might have a decision to make when it comes to Jorginho. The Italian midfielder is out of contract this summer and has been linked with a move away. Brazilian side Flamengo are chasing his services. And they are continuing their pursuit of Jorginho over the closing days of the window.

According to reports in Brazil, his representatives held a meeting with Flamengo on Wednesday, with negotiations ‘advancing’. It is suggested that the club are now optimistic of signing him this window instead of at the end of the campaign. Would Ollie Watkins be a good signing for Arsenal? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Should Arsenal fail to seal a deal for Watkins, they could potentially go in another direction - Mathys Tel. The Frenchman looks set to leave Bayern Munich before the end of the month.

And he appears to have bid farewell to the German giants in his latest appearance. After starting against Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday, he was pictured waving on his own to fans, before applauding them. Tel has been linked with a number of other Premier League clubs, as well as Arsenal. Chelsea and Tottenham are also reportedly attempting to sign him.
