Aston Villa vs West Ham LIVE!. Graham Potter takes charge of West Ham for the first time tonight as the Hammers head to Villa Park in the FA Cup third round. Appointed yesterday as Julen Lopetegui's replacement, Potter will be aiming to get off to the best possible start. It’s been eight years since they failed to navigate past this stage of the competition.

The Hammers, though, are not in great form with one win in their last five games, and go into the cup tie on the back of heavy defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City. A trip to Champions League side Villa is a daunting first test for Potter, who is back in management after almost two years of unemployment.

Villa are a mixed bag at the moment results-wise but they are strong at home, suffering just two losses across all competitions so far this season. Kick-off at Villa Park is at 8pm GMT. Follow all the action with Standard Sport’s LIVE blog below, featuring expert insight and analysis from Dom Smith at Villa Park.

West Ham could be without Jean-Clair Todibo following a rather pessimistic update about the defender following the City defeat. Emerson Palmieri also missed that game through injury. Jarrod Bowen is facing up to two months out of action, though Lukasz Fabianski could return in goal.

Villa will welcome back Morgan Rogers after he missed the Leicester game through suspension, having picked up five yellow cards in the Premier League this season. Jhon Duran is suspended, while John McGinn, Diego Carlos and Pau Torres are expected to miss out through injury.
