Australian Open fans are slammed for their reaction to 'over-sexualised' star Carlos Alcaraz taking his shirt off: 'Imagine if men did this to a female'

Carlos Alcaraz has delighted his fans at the Australian Open by showing off his ripped physique during his fourth-round victory on Sunday - but not everybody is happy about the crowd's response. The 21-year-old star won through to the quarter finals at Melbourne Park, where he will meet 10-time champion Novak Djokovic, when British 15th seed Jack Draper retired injured while down 7-5 6-1 in their match.
After the match, Alcaraz changed shirts on-court ahead of his post-match interview and received a big response from the Rod Laver Arena crowd. The Spaniard's supporters whistled and cheered at the sight of him shirtless, with many pulling out their cameras to record the moment.
One woman in the crowd could be seen mouthing the word 'Wow!' as she stared at the talented youngster. 'Imagine if men did this with a female athlete. The woke would be out in force. FWIW it's good harmless banter, but should go both ways,' one fan posted on X. 'Okay maybe I'm reaching but: He is over sexualized. This I persona after all, not a spectacle for us. Image this happening to a woman,' posted another.
