Baker of poisoned Christmas cake accused of being 'serial killer' as cops link her to more incidents A woman suspected of killing three family members by feeding them a poisoned Christmas cake may be linked to at least ten other poisonings – including her dad’s death in 2020 and an attempt to kill her own husband.
Deise Moura, 39, is accused of murdering three relatives and trying to kill another three after serving the festive treat during a family Christmas party at her mother-in-law Zeli's home on December 23.
Just days before the fatal cake incident, Moura reportedly poisoned her own husband, Diego dos Anjos, by serving him arsenic-laced juice, according to Brazilian news outlet Band.
Brazilian cops later revealed an initial analysis of Deise Moura's phone showed "internet searches, including on Google Shopping, for the word arsenic and other similar ones.".
Police are probing at least 10 potential poisonings linked to Moura – with her father-in-law and dad's death in 2020 among the suspected murders and attempts.
