BBC Casualty fans are buzzing with speculation that Rash Masum is set for an unexpected new love story. The much-loved medic (played by Neet Mohan) has become a staple on the enduring medical show since stepping into the scene in 2017. Over the years, he's been central to some major plots, like the death of his dad who battled dementia and a storyline involving suicide.
In the episode broadcasted on Saturday (January 4), Rash had a rocky start to his day when a run-in with new surgeon Sean Redmond (portrayed by Seth Somers) left him stained with a spilled hot beverage and a broken new phone, which a heated Sean presumes Rash should repair but Rash declined.
However, an unexpected revelation later suggested that Rash's cousin, doctor Tariq Hussein (Manpreet Bachu), is not only acquainted with Sean but shares a flat with him. Now, Casualty devotees are betting that its only a short wait before Rash and the fresh face, Sean, become a couple. On the dedicated fan page of Casualty on Facebook, one viewer speculated: "Rash suddenly turns gay? Taking bets? ", reports Wales Online.
Another added fuel to the fire, remarking: "There is some serious tension between him and Sean." While another fan confirmed: "The new guy and Rash are going to become an item you heard it here first.". Moreover, in another part of the episode, viewers were delighted as characters Nicole Piper (Sammy T. Dobson) and Ngozi Okoye (Adesuwa Oni) at long last became a pair, bringing their growing closeness over two seasons to a romantic climax.
