Fans are hailing The Traitors as "the campest season yet" just moments into the latest series. As Claudia Winkleman and the latest group of contestants got to grips in the third series of the BBC show, fans quickly took to social media following an early scene. Twenty five hopefuls got on the train and while three were quickly told to leave, it was a moment involving Anglican priest Lisa that had fans in stitches.

As Lisa, 62, introduced herself to the cameras, she said: "I'm not actually going to openly declare that I'm an ordained priest." She is then heard saying: "Off duty now, God forgive me.". And Twitter/X users loved the moment online. One user wrote: "Campest moment of the series, and we’re only two minutes in. #TheTraitors." Another added: "Lisa concealing that she’s a priest for no readily discernible reason. I’m already hooked. #TheTraitors." After she was later asked if she was able to lie, fans loved her response as she told Claudia: "I’m a priest, not a saint." One user penned: "“i’m a priest, not a saint” i’m already so obsessed with lisa #TheTraitors.".

Fans were also left reeling by a huge twist early in the first episode which saw three people - Fozia, Jack and Alexander - immediately kicked off the train. Their decision meant the rest of the contestants could add some money to their own prize pot. With seven minutes to spare, it was decided who would leave the trains and thus they managed to bank a cool £7,000 for the winner's prize pot.
