Taylor Swift has reportedly distanced herself from pal Blake Lively as she won't be joining her Super Bowl celebrations. The pop star is gearing up to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce at the huge sporting event this weekend. She will be bringing her crew of mates to support Kansas City Chiefs against Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Last year, Blake joined in the party as she watched on with Taylor in her VIP suite.
They celebrated alongside Ashley Avignone, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice, Miles Teller, and Keleigh Teller as well as Travis' parents. However, this year it looks like it will be very different for the close friends as Blake is reportedly not going to the Super Bowl. It comes as she is wrapped up in drama surrounding her latest movie project It Ends With Us. "Blake is not attending the Super Bowl with her," a source told the Daily Mail. "Blake has not left the house since this started practically. Taylor wants nothing to do with this trial and court case." Blake and actor Justin Baldoni starred together in film It Ends With Us, which was released last summer.
NFL fans can watch Super Bowl 59 for 99p with DAZN's NFL Game Pass. Usually £19.99, this includes the authentic US broadcast and provides access to all NFL content until July 31. However, they have been locked in a legal battle since Blake initiated a lawsuit over Justin's conduct. Blake has accused her co-star of sexual harassment and alleges a targeted PR campaign aimed at tarnishing her reputation post-film collaboration. Justin has since countersued Blake and her actor husband Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, alleging an attempt to "destroy" his good name and career.
The attention has left Blake "horrified" that her pal Taylor has been dragged into the legal battle. Taylor could be grilled by Justin’s lawyer Bryan Freedman if he chooses to depose her ahead of the planned court case next year. The singer could be questioned for hours on film about her role in the saga, after being mentioned in Baldoni’s countersuit. A source told the Mirror: “Baldoni’s lawyer will take no prisoners, and the thought of Taylor being subjected to that, is utterly horrifying to Blake.” In the director Justin’s countersuit, he claims Taylor was present at a meeting that took place at Blake’s New York penthouse over a re-write of a rooftop scene.
Justin claims that during their meeting, Blake attempted to intimidate him by using her relationships with husband Ryan Reynolds and Taylor, calling them “absolute titans” as well, as her “dragons.” A text from Blake to Justin said: “If you ever get around to watching Game Of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. "For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you”. 155,000 fans, celebrities, and dignitaries - including Taylor and President Donald Trump- are set to descend on New Orleans this weekend for the sporting event.
