Bloodied weapon used to attack Cindy is found in EastEnders – and it looks bad for someone

An unsuspecting EastEnders icon has finally uncovered the weapon that was used to attack Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) on Christmas Day – and it doesn’t look good for him. Cindy was hit over the head with a shovel after her affair with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) was exposed, and left for dead in the snow.
Thankfully, she has since made a full recovery, but the hunt is still on for her attacker. In tonight’s episode, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) revealed her suspicions that Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) may have had more to do with Cindy’s attack than he was letting on.
As she pointed out that hitting people over the head seems to run in the family, sister Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) explained to George Knight (Colin Salmon) how Ian had been involved in Denny’s death in 2020. With Cindy now living back under Ian’s roof, the girls expressed their concerns that Ian may be twisting things and accusing one of the Knights of attacking her.
As Anna feared for Cindy’s safety, George promised to pay her a visit to check on her. With Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) on hand to distract Ian, George headed over, where he revealed to Cindy that he suspected Ian was behind the attack. Unbeknown to George, Ian had caught on to Elaine’s ruse and returned home, where he’d witnessed George’s accusations.
