A Durham Police spokesperson said: ‘We’re sorry to report that officers searching for missing woman Jenny Hall, have sadly found a body.
‘Officers carried out an extensive search alongside specialist partners and have been working around-the-clock to locate Jenny after she went missing on February 18.
Mountain rescue teams, sniffer dogs and specialist drones have been used in the extensive search for Jenny in the Hamsterley Forest and surrounding areas.
The force also thanked 16 different search and rescue organisations who had been involved in the search for Jenny.
Jenny Hall was last seen at about 3pm on Tuesday after she left her home in Barracks Farm, Tow Law, County Durham.
