Bryson DeChambeau has dropped a juicy hint he's teeing off alongside Adam Sandler in the much-awaited Netflix sequel to Happy Gilmore, heading our way in 2025. The golf pro whipped social media into a frenzy after sharing a photo with Sandler and his U.S. Open trophy as he celebrated the Christmas Day release of the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer. Sandler gifted fans a festive treat - a social media post featuring a 30-second glimpse of the new film.
The clip showed heavyweight returns from stars like Modern Family’s Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, locking lips once more with Happy, and Christopher McDonald reprising his role as Happy's nemesis Shooter McGavin. Nearly three decades on, it looks like Happy and Shooter are up for another round of their legendary rivalry. Adding to the star-studded lineup is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, showing off his acting chops in what appears to be a waiter's role.
"Happy Chanukah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to all! ! ! ! ! !" Sandler captioned the post. DeChambeau later teased his part on social media, sharing his picture with the Hollywood star and writing, "What an experience.. HAPPY GILMORE 2 coming to Netflix in 2025.".
The LIV Golf star's message to his 2.2 million Instagram followers also included photos of him posing with Happy's iconic hockey stick putter and a behind-the-scenes shot with the crew during filming. While it seems DeChambeau will be playing some part in the movie, no official confirmation has been given yet.
