Martin Asolo-Agogua, 23, of Nunhead, was also charged on Thursday with causing death by careless driving when under influence of drink or drugs and driving whilst over the drug limit.
Asolo-Agogua, who was driving the bus, was arrested on the day of the incident on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving.
A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a nine-year-old girl was killed in a collision with a bus last summer.
Ada Bicakci and her five-year-old brother were hit by a bus in Watling Street near the junction with Halcot Avenue, in Bexleyheath, on Saturday, August 3.
Both children were taken to hospital, but despite the efforts of medical staff, Ada died two days later.
