CALLAN RYDZ continued his sensational form as he blitzed Dmitri van den Bergh in round three of the World Darts Championship. The Riot won 4-0 to knock out the 11th seed at Ally Pally. He has won every set in his three matches so far, also whitewashing Romeo Grbavac and Martin Schindler.
Rydz, 26, was on course for one of the best ever averages in a World Darts Championship, rivalling the legendary Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen. He finished with an average of 105.31, with Van den Bergh crashing out despite playing well. The Sky Sports commentary team was full of superlatives for Rydz, with one saying: "I think that is the best performance he has ever produced.".
Rydz hit eight 180s, three more than his opponent, as well as ten 140s and 24 100s. THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
