The execution was carried out on Thursday morning using lethal injection at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester and he was pronounced dead at 10.14am, according to KOCO.
He became the state's fourth and the nation's 25th execution this year.
Several members of the Bolin's family were expected to witness the execution.
