Ex-Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster believes it was a ‘ridiculous’ thing to do given Sancho and Rashford are both still Manchester United players.
The 24-year-old surprised his social media followers with a pointed message to former United teammate and close friend Marcus Rashford following his Aston Villa debut at the weekend.
Rashford joined Unai Emery’s side on loan towards the end of the January transfer window and made his Villa debut in Sunday’s FA Cup victory over Tottenham.
Asked about the impact of Rashford and Asensio on the squad, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers added: ‘It pushes us along, we want to take what we can from the experienced players in the squad.
