Winkleman, who will take over from Norton on February 28, appeared on the show as a guest and joked: “I apologise in advance!”. Norton was previously replaced by Jack Whitehall in 2019 when the host was unable to fulfill his duties. Winkleman appeared on The Graham Norton Show alongside Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Billy Porter and Myles Smith to promote The Traitors.

She said her style for the BBC reality game show was influenced by the likes of Princess Anne and singer Sarah Brightman. “We always like to have a muse, for Strictly it has been Anita Dobson and this year it was Demis Roussos,” she said. “For Traitors it’s Princess Anne meets Sarah Brightman. We’ve already decided on next year’s – I’ll be dressing as Gerald from Clarkson’s Farm.”.
