Pesky stains on toilet seats are a familiar issue, as the accumulation of various bodily fluids can make them tough to clean but also makes the task very important. Luckily, there's a group of cleaning enthusiasts eager to come to the rescue, providing tips on how to eliminate those stubborn yellow marks from your loo seat. Zealous admirers of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch have formed their own Facebook community where they regularly exchange their top cleaning hacks to combat everyday household filth and muck.

In a contribution to the page, Lynne Helley inquired: "How to clean toilet seats? Used magic eraser but not come clean underneath." The response was overwhelming, with numerous members jumping in to share their strategies, particularly focusing on one inexpensive solution.

One helpful user advised: "Take off and soak in bleach and water. Comes up like new." Another chimed in with bleach as their go-to remedy, posting: "I use Flash with bleach on my toilet seats. Spray and leave for an hour and it gets all the stains off.".

A third member provided a detailed instruction for utilizing bleach effectively, suggesting: "Put a load of bleach on it then fold kitchen roll on it to soak it in. Then leave it for as long as possible.". The best part of this cleaning solution is that it won't break the bank as you can grab some bleach from supermarkets, like Asda, for a mere 42p, ensuring your toilet seat looks brand new in no time at all.
