Tidying up your pad can feel like a bit of therapy, especially when everything's gleaming, but actually getting round to it?. That's another story. But, if you've managed to pep-talk yourself into donning the rubber gloves, it's worth knowing that all that scrubbing is more than just elbow grease.
Keeping your bathroom spotless is key, as it's a hotspot for germ, and let's face it, you want the place where you get clean to be squeaky clean too. A cleaning guru has come out with some top tips for sprucing up your space – and she's pointed out some common blunders us everyday folk tend to make.
The cleaning whizz, who goes by "Jetlag Remedy" on TikTok, has gone viral with her insider know-how. One of her game-changing tricks? Letting your cleaning spray chill out on surfaces for a spell before giving them a wipe – it helps in lifting the muck off easier.
Jetlag Remedy enlightens her fans on TikTok by saying: "This goes for every surface that you spray a spray on. Make sure that the spray sits on top of the surface for a few minutes; this allows the spray to really set in and lift any dirt and grime, making it easier for you to then wipe up.".
She doesn't stop at surfaces – cleaning drains is also on her hit-list. Get stuck in with a "hard bristle brush" to tackle any niffy odours. Getting into the nitty-gritty she says, "You can also undo the lid part of your drain to get inside, which can also really help with the smell of your bathroom too,".
Battling bathroom odours is a must, and one culprit could be your bin. A cleaning guru recommends emptying them weekly, saying: "That way you don't have dirty bathroom stuff sitting in there fermenting," while also revealing a clever trick for small bins.
