With spring on its way, people are starting to focus on their gardens and outdoor spaces. Whether you're arranging potted plants on a flat's windowsill or choosing flowers for your garden, green-thumbed folk are already planning ahead. For those with pathways at home, the ongoing battle with moss between paving stones is both annoying and seemingly endless.
Moss not only looks unattractive but also poses a risk when wet, creating a slippery hazard. Many turn to chemical solutions which can harm pets and other plants. However, a recent revelation offers a surprising household alternative. On Facebook, a woman sought advice from Mrs Hinch's fans, posting: "Hi, really hoping someone can help. I've a massive backway full of yellow/black stubborn moss! Has anyone any idea as to how to get rid of it? " She was flooded with replies, and many suggested a common item found in homes, reported by the Express.
One person advised: "Sprinkle cheap washing powder when the ground is dry. Leave it there and let the rain do the job." Another confirmed: "No scrubbing involved if you use laundry powder. Works every time, even on stubborn areas.". A third recommended: "Pour washing powder in a basin, lots of it with water. Throw it over and leave. No scrubbing needed, it's so easy and lifts all that green stuff.".
