Enzo Maresca has said Cole Palmer is a doubt for Chelsea's Premier League clash against Wolves on Monday night, with three more players sitting out their training session on Friday. England star Palmer hurt an ankle in the first half of Tuesday night's draw against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Midfielders Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez (muscle fatigue) and centre back Levi Colwill have also missed training because of knocks this week and Maresca said he is unsure whether they will be available to practice on Saturday.

Chelsea host Wolves after more than a month without a league win and asked for an injury update on Friday afternoon Maresca said: "Cole is a doubt, Levi was not in the session today, Enzo and Romeo was not in the session today. "We have players who are a doubt for Monday’s game Cole in the end of first half the ankle they kick him. We don’t know if he trains tomorrow or next two days.".

Maresca has confirmed that centre back Trevoh Chalobah is available for selection having been recalled from a loan at Crystal Palace because of injuries to other defenders, including Wesley Fofana. Chalobah was "very happy" to be back at his parent club, the head coach said, with the decision to send him to Palace made for financial fair play reasons rather than technical.

"The reason he left at the beginning of the season was because of financial problems, not only a technical decision. The reason he’s here is we’re sure he can help us now," Maresca said. "It’s quite an easy process [to return]. We have a few injuries. We’re looking for solution and thought the best solution was for Trev to come back. We think he can help us.
