Conor McGregor has been filmed spitting in the face of a man who goaded him about Khabib Nurmagomedov. After recently reacting to Bryce Mitchell's comments made about German dictator Adolf Hitler, the Irishman finds himself at the heart of yet another shocking incident after he reacted to a fan's comment, supporting former lightweight world champion Nurmagomedov who choked out the Irishman in 2018. 'The Notorious' hasn't fought since breaking his leg in the trilogy showdown with long-time rival Dustin Poirier back in 2021. He was due to make his return to the ring last year against Michael Chandler, but pulled out of the contest after suffering an injury in training.

Despite being out of action, he still remains in the spotlight. Traditionally, McGregor is never one to hold back and the Nurmagomedov name always appears to get under the Irishman's skin. Their feud dates all the way back to 2016, following the Russian's win over Michael Johnson. Recently, a shocking video has emerged of McGregor reacting aggressively when a fan mentioned his old foe's name. The MMA icon was seen walking through a shopping centre as a fan was heard yelling "Let's go Khabib!" After hearing a member of the public was seen supporting the Dagestan star, the 36-year-old Irishman couldn't back down and just had to react.

The former featherweight and lightweight champion turned around and had an angry confrontation with the man. An apparent spitting sound was then heard before McGregor walked away. He was then heard saying: "I spit in your face, what do you do? Nothing." It remains unknown as to the location and the date of the video. McGregor and Nurmagomedov, after years of verbal spats online, finally went glove-to-glove inside the Octagon at UFC 229. In what was billed as the 'biggest fight' in the history of the sport, it was the Russian who would dominate proceedings from start to finish, before settling the rivalry once and for all after submitting the Irishman in the fourth round.

Recently, Former UFC and Strikeforce star Josh Thomson explained why McGregor's rivalry with Nurmagomedov sparked the beginning of the end for 'The Notorious.' Speaking on the Weighing-In show, the former Strikeforce champion explained: “He’s taken a shift. He’s the heel, and he’s always kind of been the heel, but people also admired him and looked up to him before. The Khabib fight really brought a negative out of him. I felt like he was afraid of Khabib. He knew there was a legitimate threat, and there was nothing he could do about it.

“There was nothing he thought for sure, ‘If I can catch him, I can knock him out sure’, but I think he knew that in a five-round fight, it was going to be very difficult. The things that came out of his mouth and the things he talked about and said about Khabib’s country, his dad, his village and his wife — unforgivable.”.
