Sally Lindsay has revealed the happy news that she's become a grandmother, as she introduced her newborn grandson to her Instagram followers at the weekend. The former Coronation Street star, 51, shared a heartwarming snap of her cradling the sleeping baby while beaming up at the camera. And in the caption, she announced her stepdaughter Kristabel White had given birth to a little boy named Jaxon. Sally - who is best known for playing Shelley Unwin on the cobbles from 2001 to 2006 - has been with Kristabel's father Steve White, 59, for over 20 years.

She gushed: 'Introducing our beautiful new grandson Jaxon Victor. Me and [Steve] are completely in love ❤️ @kristabelwhite and Lou you are smashing it.'. Singer and actress Kate Robbins sweetly added: 'Oh you’re gonna love this time of your lives ….❤️❤️' and EastEnders star Heather Peace commented: 'Wonderful ❤️'.

Sally and her husband Steve are the proud parents of 14-year-old twin boys Victor and Louie, and she is stepmum to his children Kristabel and Curtis White. The couple tied the knot shortly before Christmas 2013, in front of their loved ones and celebrity friends including Alan Carr, Suranne Jones, Gok Wan, and Carol Vorderman. The actress and the rocker had already been together for a decade when they finally said 'I do'.

They chose to walk down the aisle together on their big day, with Sally explaining to Hello! magazine at the time: 'The person who looks after me the most in the world is Steve so it would seem daft if we didn't walk up the aisle together. 'It was also really important to me that we walked down as a family.'. Voicing her love for her two kids, she gushed: 'I would die for those boys.'. While she has opened up on juggling work and parenting, saying she feels that working away has helped her appreciate the time she gets with her sons.
