Coronation Street’s Sally Lindsay has become a grandmother for the first time. The actress, who played Shelley Unwin in the ITV soap, confirmed the wonderful news on her social media over the weekend. In an adorable picture, the star can be seen hugging the little tot, who is called Jaxon Victor. ‘Introducing our beautiful new grandson Jaxon Victor’, Sally wrote in the caption alongside. Recently, the actress said she would ‘never say never’ but ultimately confirmed that it’s currently not on the cards. ‘It’s a great job and I’ve always said this about Coronation Street, never say never,’ she told Radio Times. ‘It has been many years now and I’ve got my own show and I produce as well, so it’s probably not for me.’. ‘But I absolutely think it’s the best thing ever for people to go back, because it’s like another world. It’s a great job.’.

Sally revealed last year that there was one moment in time in which she would have returned to Coronation Street and that it would’ve been for Betty’s (Betty Driver) funeral. ‘‘I definitely would have gone back to Corrie for Betty’s funeral because she was a very dear friend,’ Sally told Yours Magazine. ‘Suranne [Jones, who played Karen McDonald] said she would have done as well, but they never asked us.’.
