Former Coronation Street cast member Sally Lindsay has now introduced fans to her newborn grandchild. Sally, 51 - who is best known for playing Shelley Unwin on the ITV show - shared a photo of herself cradling her grandson Jaxon on Instagram recently. It comes after she announced her stepdaughter Kristabel White's pregnancy last year. The actor has been in a relationship with Kristabel's father Steve White, 59, for over 20 years. Sally and her husband are parents to twins Victor and Louie, 14, together, and she's a stepparent to Steve's children Kristabel and Curtis White.
Alongside a photo of herself holding the newborn, Sally wrote in her post: "Introducing our beautiful new grandson Jaxon Victor. Me and [Steve] are completely in love." She concluded: "[Kristabel] and Lou you are smashing it.". Jaxon is thought to be Sally's first grandchild and her post was met with well wishes from her followers. One reacted: "Gorgeous photo. Congratulations to you all. Such lovely news." Whilst another person said: "How totally wonderful.".
A third fan teased: "Congratulations to you all. Glamorous grandparents." Someone else responded to the recent post: "This is pure joy. Congrats to you all." And another fan said to her: "Congratulations. Being a Nanna is the best.". Former Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley wrote: "Oh my days. Congratulations my love." Whilst EastEnders' Harriet Thorpe and former cast member Richard Blackwood both reacted with heart emojis in the comments section.
Sally's been married to drummer Steve, who was a member of band the Style Council with the likes of Paul Weller, since 2013. The couple had been together for almost a decade prior to their nuptials, with her having written about her husband last year: "20 years together and it just gets better.". The former soap star - whose acting credits include the Madame Blanc Mysteries - has previously spoken about the decision to have children with her husband. She told the Mirror in 2019: "I thought it was made up, you know, that urge that you desperately want to procreate." Sally said she "couldn't believe it" when it "happened" to her, adding: "I've got loads of extremely successful single women mates with massively full lives, and I thought that would have been me." She said that her sons had "changed" her life, commenting: "I would die for those boys.".
Sally occasionally posts about her family on social media and wrote in a tribute post to mark Steve's birthday in 2023: "Happy birthday to my legend of a husband. Best husband, father, brother and son ... and drummer there is. We love you very much.". Like this story?
