Coronation Street star's response to soap 'snub' after 'missing' role in Gail Platt exit Sean Wilson, who famously played Martin Platt on Coronation Street, has revealed his feelings about the ITV soap following a harsh exit and a subsequent snub.

With an already impressive career in television, Sean is set to feature with Rosemary, a fellow British chef and TV personality, in hopes of creating a unique cooking show, reports Lancs Live.

The 59-yea- old actor was slated for a grand return during Gail Platt's departure story arc but saw his opportunity go up in smoke when he became embroiled in a severe sex allegation that was eventually dismissed.

While discussing his newest television venture on BBC Breakfast, Sean reflected on his Corrie tenure and legacy, stating: "I'd like to think it misses me more than I miss it.".

Despite being exonerated and having already filmed some scenes with Helen Worth, who played Gail, his footage didn't make it to the screen, denying him the comeback he'd anticipated.
